I had the honour of helping the founder of DALA Yurt Experiences bring it to life. This luxury retreat immerses guests in the rich tradition of Kazakhstan. Nestled in the national parks, the resort offers a serene escape for those looking to reconnect with nature and create unforgettable memories.
We spent hours pouring over designs for the yurts, imagining the camp layout, and researching the best hospitality practices and activities to offer. It was a labour of love, but it was all worth it when we finally saw it come together.
THE MVP
We wanted to test our vision with a leading expert in the field of tourism. That's why we invited the renowned journalist Mark Lakin to come and experience our yurt camp in the majestic Assa Valley.
I was in charge of putting the yurt camp together, from selecting the location to setting up the yurts. I also had the pleasure of pre-producing the entertainment program that Mark would be taking part in. From sports and outdoor activities to cultural immersion experiences, we wanted to ensure that Mark had the opportunity to experience everything the DALA Yurt Experiences truly offers. It turned out something like this…
Mark's visit was hugely successful, and his feedback was energising. It was a great validation of all the hard work that went into creating the DALA Yurt Experiences, and I couldn't be more proud of what we've accomplished.
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the project lost some of its momentum. But I am hopeful that the DALA Yurt Experiences will be back in full scale.
