ABOUT
CIS LEAGUE, a matchmaking hub on FaceIT, offers various benefits and opportunities for players to improve their skills and earn rewards. Under new ownership by Get In Pro, I was hired to create an ecosystem that combines physical locations such as bootcamps and esports arenas with the largest online league in the CIS region and content creation.
With a brand positioning that caters to players of all skill levels, from newbies to world-class pros and content creators, we aimed to shape the main esports community in the world and provide tools for the community to run the league and influence the esports industry.

USER-CONTENT GENERATION
ESPORTS ARENAS AND BOOTCAMPS
ONLINE AND OFFLINE TOURNAMENTS
We offered learning lessons for beginners to ease their fears of being judged for bad play, a content-generating division, and a high-quality competitive gaming division for serious players.
We aimed to place the best players and content creators in bootcamps in Get In Pro hotels and host large offline tournaments to create a fun gathering space.

CONTENT
I produced a variety of content that included video lessons that break down advanced techniques, interviews with top players that offer insight into the professional lifestyle, and tournaments featuring bloggers and professional players.

COMMUNITY
I strived to create a fair and inclusive environment for all players. We realised there was poor communication between the league and its players, so we opened a discord channel for direct communication and conducted research by interviewing active players. Due to previous administrator favouritism, this process uncovered a lack of fairness in the top leagues. We addressed this issue head-on and made changes to create a more inclusive and fair environment for all players.

END OF LEAGUE
Unfortunately, the CIS LEAGUE came to an end due to the start of the war in Ukraine. My boss, Alexander Udalyi, became a war volunteer and I had to flee from Kyiv. This experience has been deeply personal and has motivated me to create my most important project to date. I remain committed to our missions and goals, and I look forward to the day when we can once again bring our vision to life and provide an immersive esports experience for players.
